DESMUD is Building a Modern Milling Training Centre in Ankara

An important step is being taken in Turkey's milling machinery manufacturing sector. The Association of Milling and Sector Machinery Manufacturers (DESMÜD) has decided to build a modern training centre in Ankara. This centre will offer training in Turkish and English and will have an internationally respected position.

The foundations of the project were laid with the first signatures for the land allocated by Ankara Metropolitan Municipality. The training centre will be designed to host modern technologies for the milling sector. Along with the production lines ranging from raw materials to finished goods, it will also offer facilities such as R&D laboratories, training classrooms, guest house and cafeteria.

The mission of DESMÜD is to determine the priorities of the sector and develop policies to increase and maintain the competitiveness of the national industry. Within this framework, it supports the activities of sectoral organisations in order to strengthen the culture of cooperation and solidarity.

The training centre will offer trainings for milling technicians in Turkey, technical personnel working abroad and bakery product manufacturers. It will also accept trainees from abroad by creating an international platform.

This project of DESMÜD is seen as an important step that will contribute to the further strengthening of Turkey's machinery manufacturing sector in the global arena and shed light on the future of the sector.
